Nestlé Perpetual Coffee Experience Group Design Project

Nestle Taiwan Limited

Core Issue: How can industrial design techniques be utilized to enhance consumer interaction and connection with the packaging of drip coffee bags, thereby effectively conveying the concept of ecological conservation?

In an era dedicated to environmental sustainability, Nestlé Taiwan is actively engaged in local initiatives and sustainable social development. Taiwan, with its exceptional geographical location, nurtures a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Among the recorded 59,000 species of plants and animals, approximately 30% are unique to Taiwan. This remarkably high proportion of endemic species is renowned globally and is a source of pride for the people of Taiwan.

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) stands as a leader in Taiwan's higher education for sustainable development. In 2022, they have been involved in over 1,600 international publications on sustainability issues, with ongoing implementation of more than 1,300 research projects in the sustainability domain.

In this collaboration between Nestlé Taiwan and NCKU's School of Design, we aim to utilize design to attract consumer attention and understanding towards Taiwan's diverse ecology in the pursuit of sustainability. We employ Taiwan's endemic species as a design medium to convey the concept of coexistence and sustainability between humans and nature.

Conceptual Design of Future Information Phenomena in 2025 : Design for FUTURE GAMING

Logitech Far East LTD.

Core Issue: How to establish the possibilities of future design within the context of a narrative story.

This industry-academia collaboration represents Logitech's first partnership with a Taiwanese industrial design department at a university. The main theme of this collaborative project is to design for "Future Information Phenomena in 2025," focusing on "Design for Future Gaming" as the central axis. The project targets the Z-generation by exploring various scenarios such as design for future education and design for future working spaces. Through this collaboration, the goal is to enable students from the Z-generation to imagine the future from their perspective, approach it from different angles, and propose innovative design solutions for the new era.

Experience-driven Future Technology Innovation Workshop Series

Tsannkuen Edge Intelligence CO., LTD. Magic Lab

Core Issue: How to initiate a value-driven discussion on future living topics within the design industry.

Using product narrative techniques to illustrate future life scenarios involves imagining the role of technology and addressing the need for a human-centered experience. Product narration involves creating conceptual product prototypes and allowing people to "rehearse" product usage scenarios in real-world settings. This process includes recording visuals to analyze and improve design concepts, ultimately integrating them into narrative videos and static displays. These serve as inspiration for future designers in practical design endeavors and as materials for showcasing the industry's future vision.
